Our Chicago church and parish is focused on five important aspects. Belonging is perhaps our deepest longing. Saint Clement Parish strives to be a place of welcome invitation and commits to assisting everyone in the Catholic life. For each person this involves hearing an invitation, being welcomed by others and responding by engaging in the life of the parish.
Here on the website you will find easily laid out, the elements of parish life that we hope will lead you to a deeper relationship with God, engage you in a greater sense of communion with others and inspire you to a wider service to our sisters and brothers in Christ. This is the goal and mission of our dynamic parish which is now over 100 years old.
In our challenging times and busy lives of ever changing demands, our hearts crave a sense of direction and a group of people to share this with. We need a practical guide for living the abundant life that God has given us. Our parish spirituality is based in a sense of stewardship. This is a process in which each of us grows in understanding ourselves as receivers of a great gift and consciously decides how we will give that gift back.
Five very practical actions are at the core of this life, and at the core of this website. Pray. Serve. Give. Learn. Belong.
These are supported by a sense of welcome that all participate in, a strong bond between all members and a continuous learning of our rich tradition.
I welcome your exploration the offerings of our parish. Whether exploring as a visitor or looking deeper as a long-time member, I think you will find much here to encourage your engagement in our common spiritual journey.
