The Sunday Giving Commitment

The most important outlet for giving is the Sunday Giving Commitment. Parishioners prayerfully consider the gifts that God has given them. In gratitude for such gifts a parishioner gives back to God through a significant gift to the parish on a regular basis. This giving back to God in support of the mission and ministry of the parish is essential to the spiritual life of the giver and the ongoing operations of the parish. This gift is most easily accomplished through automatic withdrawal from credit cards or checking account (through ParishPayor can be done through weekly envelopes.

We encourage parishioners to make a pledge to our Sunday Giving commitment on an annual basis. This enhances our ability to accurately budget and plan for our many programs and services.  Once you make your pledge, you can fulfill the pledge online as a one-time gift or as a recurring donation.

Giving beyond the Sunday Giving Commitment...

Clement Commits

In that same spirit of stewardship the parish donates the first 10% of the regular Sunday offering to charities designated by the Archdiocese and the Clement Commits committee, thus eliminating second collections. Individuals may also give directly to this fund for specific causes or for general disbursement. Read More.

To Teach Who Christ Is - Capital Campaign

In the spring of 2014, we began a three-year capital campaign to carry on the legacy of those who have come before us at Saint Clement parish and to strengthen the future of Catholic education throughout the Archdiocese.  To learn more or to make a donation, click here.

Anchor Ball

Anchor Ball is Saint Clement's annual spring gala that celebrates our vibrant community while raising funds for our church, school, and the many ministries our parish serves throughout Chicago. Details.

Community of Shepherds (COS)

Members of the COS make an additional donation of $1,000 or more for the maintenance and upkeep and improvement of our spectacular parish Church and buildings. A unique parish initiative since 2004. Community of Shepherds is a pledge program to raise funds to ensure that our ongoing capital needs are addressed. We also commit a percentage--at the same rate as the Clement Commits program--to the capital needs of charitable organizations.

Sunday Children's Offering

Stewardship is a way for us to change the world with love. One way to show love is to share what we have with others. The money that children share goes directly to our fund for the homeless. The homeless fund is used in a number of ways:
  •  We buy additional items to go into the sack lunches that are distributed each week.
  •  We purchase hats, gloves, socks and personal care items to be shared.

View our Children's Offering brochure for more information.

H.U.G.S. for the Homeless collection

Winter is especially hard for our homeless brothers and sisters, and area shelters never have enough socks and underwear. Saint Clement Parish holds a collection every year of Hats, Underwear, Gloves & Socks to share with local shelters, and to give out to the homeless who come to our door. Items should be new, and heavy-duty, thick hats and gloves are requested.

Our next collection will be held the weekend of November 7 & 8, 2015. Please bring items to Masses that weekend and place them in the marked bins in the vestibule. If purchasing items online (such as through, you can ship the items directly to the parish to the attention of Mary Cele Doyle at 642 W. Deming Place, Chicaog, IL 60614.

Jesse Tree

The weekend after Thanksgiving, we put up Christmas trees with paper ornaments in the church and chapel. They are part of the Jesse Tree program, a ministry in conjunction with Advent that provides parishioners an opportunity to support local organizations with clothing, toys, gift cards, and other needed items in the spirit of Christmas giving. You are invited to choose one of the colored tags from the trees in the church and chapel that represent wish items from the 12 charities we support annually with this project. Read More.

Tuition Assistance Program (TAP)

This fund provides financial assistance to families who wish to benefit from an education at our parish school. Financial need is evaluated by an independent service to ensure objectivity.

Saint Clement School Annual Fund

The Annual Fund is the cornerstone of Saint Clement School’s fundraising efforts. The day-to-day operating expenses of the school are not covered by tuition alone. Contributions to The Annual Fund go directly to the school’s operating budget and tuition assistance program. Through generous donations to The Annual Fund, Saint Clement School balances its budget and secures the resources it needs to provide an exceptional education to its students. In addition to school family commitments, we welcome contributions from alumni, parishioners interested in supporting catholic education at Saint Clement School, parents of alumni and our Lincoln Park neighbors. The Oscar Romero Scholarship

The Romero Scholarship benefits students from our sister parish, the 22 de Abril Community in El Salvador. These students are in extreme economic need, and have the desire and academic potential to attend high school or college, as well as a commitment to service and solidarity.

For Lent 2014, the parish will provide donation cans and a calendar of Lenten reflections based on our ongoing relationship with the Colonia 22 de Abril. Cans, calendars and donation envelopes can be found in the back of the church and will be distributed to the religious education children and parish school. By supporting the Romero Scholarship, we assist these young people receive an education that will change their lives, their families, and the Colonia 22 de Abril itself. Your donation will go directly to pay for the students’ tuition, books, uniforms, lab fees and transportation. A donation of any size helps.
