Adult Faith Formation

Formation in our Catholic faith is a life-long process! As we continue to age and encounter new life experiences, we are constantly being called to examine our relationship with God and to grow as Disciples of Christ. The Saint Clement community provides a number of opportunities for parishioners of all ages to participate in forming their faith through study, prayer, reflection, and service. By offering these programs and initiatives, we hope to empower our entire community to live out daily a fuller expression of our faith in the world.

Faith Foundations for Adults

FAITH FOUNDATIONS is Saint Clement Parish’s comprehensive plan for faith formation that seeks to help adults grow in knowledge and understanding of the Catholic faith, with an eye toward integrating it into their daily lives and encounters with others. This initiative will examine 6 major themes from our faith Tradition over the course of a 3-year rotation, engaging a different theme every fall and spring. Our theme for Fall 2015 is: Engaging Scripture & Tradition.  In order to engage parishioners on different levels, the Faith Foundations initiative will provide three diverse opportunities for parishioners to engage the theme each “semester."  Read More.

 Bible Study

Studying God's Word together is a wonderful way to open up the scriptures and learn about the essentials of our faith in a new way. We offer 6-week bible study groups at various times throughout the year. We choose a book of the Bible, read through the assigned Scripture passages, and then meet to learn and discuss. Each of these groups is facilitated by a leader who has spent time studying scripture, and each member of the group is welcome to contribute their thoughts and reflections as well. Understanding scripture helps Catholics to think about the context of the books of the Bible, this brings light and life into their weekly Sunday worship because it adds insights into the Gospel readings and homilies we hear each week. Please contact Rachel Espinoza, Director of Catechesis for more information about upcoming Bible Study Groups.
