Children first learn about God through their parents. By loving and providing a safe and secure environment for their children, parents give their children a glimpse into the love that God has for them. Learning about Jesus and our faith is very exciting for children. It touches and builds upon the relationship that children already have with God.
The family is central for spiritual formation. So, at Saint Clement, we truly believe in having a “family perspective” in everything that we offer. When the children meet, we invite parents to attend an adult bible study or other adult formation sessions. This is a great opportunity to enrich your own spiritual life and helps you to model lifelong faith formation for your child.
Throughout the year we plan prayer services specifically for families. In these experiences, you will meet new people, build new relationships, and share the faith-filled touchstones of life.
We offer Religious Education classes for children in order to assist parents in teaching their children about the Catholic faith. Catechists (religion teachers) are called to “echo” faith, to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ. A Catechist’s job is to help each person (child, youth, or adult) to deepen the faith received at baptism, experience conversion in everyday life, and then extend the invitation to lifelong growth in faith. So, together with you, we will be co-wonderers with the children exploring the awesome mystery of God.
You will come to recognize the “HomeWord” newsletter as a handy resource to help keep you up to date... Remember to feel free to invite your friends and neighbors to our events.
Sunday RE Classes
Register for Religious Education
Our Religious Education Program serves children in Pre-K through 8th grade. Classes of 24 children or less are taught by teams of volunteer catechists. The catechists are trained and meet regularly with Rachel Espinoza
, Director of Children and Family Catechesis. Classes are in session from September through May from 10:40 to 11:45am. While the children attend class, parents are invited to gather in the school cafeteria for hospitality and conversation. Read More.

RE Advirsory Board
The Religious Education Advisory Board meets to help plan and facilitate all of the programs for the family events.
We also have room parents who help to communicate special events to the parents and invite participation. Often times we ask a certain grade level to be the "host" for an event; this helps families to meet and work on a project together which is enjoyable for all involved.
When we invite the families to participate in our events, we are modeling the practice of becoming engaged parishioners, using our strenghs to help build up our parish community. We like to give children the opportunity to participate in our parish mission and Pray, Serve, Give and Learn.
- Each month one class is responsible for providing the sack lunches for our Sack Lunch Friday Program for the hungry of the neighborhood.
- During Lent, each child is encouraged to collect alms for the poor.
