Young Adult Community

In recognition of the Saint Clement church mission and vision, the Young Adult Community (YAC) is an inclusive community of parishioners in our 20's and 30's on a journey of faith in Jesus Christ. We grow in faith through engaging in the liturgy, deepening relationships, serving one another and the greater community, and gratefully sharing with others the gifts we have each been given.

We have various spiritual, service, and social opportunities to be involved with so feel free to read below to learn about some of our upcoming events. Details on our ongoing events are listed towards the end.

Our Young Adult Board consists of fourteen young adult parishioners and our staff liaison, Christina Bax. The Board is excited to welcome you into the YAC community. If you have any questions about getting involved at Saint Clement we encourage you to contact our YAC Board.

Stay up-to-date with the YAC!

There are two great ways to stay connected to the YAC: join our Listserv and Facebook group.

Saint Clement Shot of Theology

Shot of Theology is a spinoff of our summer Theology on Tap Events and is open to all adults. It is a perfect way to meet people while learning more about Catholic faith and teaching. Event is held at Galway Arms (2442 N Clark St) at 7:00pm.

Upcoming event:

  • When: Wednesday, November 18, 2015
  • Where: Galway Arms (2442 N Clark St), upper room
  • Speaker:  Adrian and Jessica Sánchez
  • Talk Title: "Christ Loved His Church: How Catholic Marriage Can Save the Modern World
  • Talk Description: Adrian and Jessica Sánchez converted to Catholicism in 2010. Two years later they married in their hometown of Nashville, Tennessee and have since enjoyed growing in the faith as a Domestic Church. In a world filled with broken families and easy virtue, the Sánchezes have discovered that the riches of Catholic marriage offer a wealth of grace far surpassing anything they could have imagined before their conversion. And now, as parents, the ongoing catechesis of family life continues rendering ever more beautiful lessons in faith, hope, and self-giving love.

YAC Bible Study

Mondays, April 20-June 8, 2015 7pm-9pm, in Fireside Hall (located in the school, 2524 N. Orchard)

It is for a reason that every year, during the Easter vigil, we listen to about 5 readings from the Old Testament. It is not just Israel’s story but our Salvation history. This spring, join other young adults as we gather to explore Old Testament history, theology, and stories, from the creation accounts of Genesis to the fall of the Northern Kingdom (722 B.C.) and its prophets. Join us for all or any of the sessions. We will be using “Israel’s story: Part one study set” from the Little Rock Scripture series to guide our discussions; materials can be purchased here. In case of any questions, contact Amanda or Hilman at
